it's raining men!

well... thats a lie, but i have noticed after me incessantly moaning for the sun to come out coz all the old men are hibernating... seems a little snow, and they leave indoors to brave the vast white. briefly. but that's good enough for me to snap a few up.

now, many of you may be thinking, well, if there's so many elder gentry roaming the sheets, why post an old lady from BEHIND of all things?!
well, i'll have you know that this is neither an old lady... NOR taken from behind!
ok, i lied, it is from behind... clearly... it's not cousin "It" but it IS a MAN.
you'll have to trust me.

this guy was adorable, and his bus was pulling up alongside me, so this is the best i got...

this was this morning on the way to work. had to take a good few pics til one wasn't a blurry mess.... but that just goes to show the businessman to my right was SO engrossed with his video game, and the chav to my left was SO engrossed in his page 3, that they didn't notice me, smack bang in the middle, photographing a sad old man. hope he's cheered up. :(

this guy was a treat i tell ya! kickass round sunglasses on a day anything but sunny. bless him.

sleeping beauty here is from Rory, my new minion. can't ever have too many people photographing, seeing as my previous minions seem to be having an old man drought. or motivation drought. or have forgotten about me and my measly offshoot blog.

another from rory. good job new comrade! :)

lastly, took this on the way to bethnal green... early on a saturday morning.... which is a time i can now officially report there to be NO elder gentry riding the tube.
there was a special seat in front of me, with a picture of an old man, so that sufficed for that day.
nice they have special seats. i often wonder, do u ever see an old man, pregnant lady, and woman and child fight over these seats? i wonder.... the old man has my money. he has a stick n all.

Life's a blur...

Went round Liverpool street, Brick lane, the City yesterday... got a few men... t'was a productive day indeed......

i didn't even realise what was written above him til just now! too fuckin rad.

i wanted his photo coz he had a sweet hand tattoo and rocking shoes!

next up, an old teddy boy on the bus. i should have got a pic of his snakeskin cowboy boots... damn hindsight.

theres only so many times u can try and get the same mans photo on a crowded bus before settling for blurry. Another thing.... i can't for the life of me figure out how to turn off the *kuchhhhhhtch* sound my phone feels the need to spew out every time i take a photo... making life a whole lot harder than need be.

This guy was walking at lightning speed.

last up, when i got home, i spotted this cute couple house hunting, and couldn't figure how i could possibly capture the gent seeing as his misses was in front of him. i got my phone out anyways, ever ready, and she DUCKED at the perfect moment. bless her.

jolly good.

SADD

got a good'un on the tube with Sam the other day.... you can see us sneakily grinning in the background.

so the weather is still dismal, making the old men miserable.

come on sunshine, my blog is suffering.

seems this weather not only keeps all my old men indoors, but when they do nip out to the shops, they aren't best pleased about it.

seems smiles are lacking at the minute....

this too shall pass.

new year, new men

So, the cold has well and truly reduced my likelihood of obtaining some good old men shots these past few weeks for 2 reasons....

a) old men don't come out in the cold so much
b) my fingers are too cold to get my phone, get to the camera setting and take a photo in the allocated time i have.

bummer.

this doesn't mean i haven't been trying... so gimme a break.

here goes....

i gotta say, i am loving his wife's red dragon jacket in the background.
class

bus stops.... god bless 'em

this and my next shows how out of practice i am at on the move shots. i hope i haven't lost my mojo :(

confused old men are awesome to take photos of, coz they don't move for a good while.... maybe the odd head scratch, but thats it.

apologies for my finger bottom right corner (wow, that reads.... a little wrong. "finger bottom...."). I was waiting to cross a road and got this in record time might i add.

public transport is a saving grace during these dark cold months.

long story....

indoor shots in pubs are proving awful. bring back the summer, where it stays light for long, and old men enjoy being outside.

took this last night in a pub that shall remain unnamed. and those in the know will know Freemasons occasionally hold meetings in the function room upstairs, and halfway through my pint, they started filing out, and my god, did they have the most impeccable facial hair... proper curly wurly moustaches to put most to shame, but i just couldn't get a good pic. (this guy wasn't one of them.... he was just unfortunate enough to be stood stationary long enough for me to try and get a photo.)

devastating.

nothing a scarf can't fix

so.... here's a few chaps that have been braving the cold winter weather. good on them!

been too long.

so sorry for the lack of gentry. i kept forgetting to bring my lead for my phone to work, so yeah.... hope that's excuse enough.

without further ado.... let's get started, shall we?

not looking too impressed with what's on offer.

this guy is a legend. true story.

this guy is adorable, and i have 2 pairs of trousers just like his...

saw this spherical guy as i was leaving a pub after consuming a Sunday roast. i felt like my belly was gonna explode.... til i saw him. hypercondriact it seems.

sent his guy many a time on the way to work but never got a good pic.... til now.

this guy was pretty damn easy to photograph... clearly.

now it's cold i'm assuming a lot of these guys are tucked inside in slippers with a Horlicks. Definitely noticing a drought in the men department. Also, with it getting darker... the ones who do brave the outdoors are almost impossible to capture on film :( well.... maybe not on "film" but you know what i mean...

2 for 1

he needs a Horlicks....somebody get this man a damn Horlicks! pronto!

SHOES!!!!   :D

This next lot are all courtesy of the lovely Traycee over in Ireland. nice work :)

time's a tickin'

new instalment...

this is a magnificent photo by steve (who's ear can be viewed left of frame)... it totally doesn't lend to the awesomeness of this guys 'tache... but we tried and tried, and after a fair few photos, u kinda realise when u need to admit defeat.

i'll elaborate ...

these 2 were the kind of "i'll pretend to be photographing you, coz he's in frame". blues bar's aren't particularly well lit for this sly elder gentry photograpgy. clearly.

these 2 beauts are from Traycee. i often wondered why her photos always came out so well. i know know that
a)her phone is better than mine (i aint naming names, this isn't a phone comparison blog. but... comparatively.... hers beats the crap outta mine)
b)she has a cool green monster cover on her phone which just makes it look like she is a little special in the head wondering around pointing it at people. mine.... mine looks like a camera phone.

kerry sent me the one below. i dunno whats up with this guy. maybe he's dressed for halloween. who knows.

this next one, i dunno why, but i really like this photo. i like how he's kinda trapped in the moment, with life buzzing about.

this next guy, probably trapped in the moment for a little longer.... someone should tell him it's easier to cross a road at a crossing. hence the name.... "crossing". hope he didn't end up crossing over if u know what i mean.

was with Traycee when i got this next guy. i literally whipped my phone n snapped with seconds to spare. super ninja skills that day.

this guy is Kris Kristofferson. true story.

spotted this guy on my morning dog walk. i dont like to think about how long he's been sat there all alone. or how long he stayed.

this guys hair.... i'm not sure if he just didn't have enough time that morning to fashion his regular comb-over.... or.... got caught in a hurricane. could be either i 'spose.

this guy was on a bus NOT headed towards any sort of airport. it was cold out. i dunno.

this guy read moving his lips. i always thought u grew outta that. guess not. bless.

got him last night after going to the cinema for a horror double bill. if he was sat next to me, the films may have been way scarier....

this guy has a dog. yup

this guy was sent to me by Anna. good job!
